Sandamar Farm offers a well-rounded lesson program for riders of all levels, from young children and beginning adults to seasoned show riders.
Our resident trainers provide their students with lessons tailored to their individual needs. Students gain a strong foundation not only in riding, but in ground work and horsemanship as well. Lessons are fun and enjoyable, while helping each student achieve his or her goals. Sandamar is primarily a hunter/jumper barn, but jumping is not required for beginning riders or riders who would prefer to learn on the flat.
Sandamar Farm has several excellent and well-trained school horses and ponies available for lessons. Our large, well-lit indoor arena allows us to teach year round, regardless of weather. Our lesson program is very hands-on, and students are expected to groom, tack, and warm up their horse prior to their lesson, and cool down and provide after care when their lesson is over.
Safety is paramount at Sandamar Farm. Students are required to wear ASTM-approved helmets when mounted, as well as proper riding or paddock boots. Your instructor will work with you to establish good safety habits when working around horses.
We offer private and semi-private lessons. Please contact Julie Gelderman at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss scheduling or to arrange to watch a lesson in progress.
